September 18 -- Premier FC to hold one-night tournament, AMMO to hold second grappling show

This week at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA, Premier FC will hold its first one-night tournament. The September 18 event will feature eight lightweights paired against each other with the winner receiving $12,000 and the runner up $9,000.

According to information available as of press time, the participating fighters so far include; UFC veteran Estevan Payan; Glory Kickboxing veteran Dylan Salvador; Bellator veteran Sam Watford; former Premier FC title holder Ali Zebian; number four-ranked New England fighter Jacob Bohn; number seven-ranked New England fighter D'Juan Owens; and Fabio Serrao 

The event will be available for streaming here.

There will also be a regular card as well. A bout between the tournament finalists and a middleweight championship fight between George Tokkos and Yun Ji will headline the event. The main card also includes;

  • Timmy Tyler versus Pat Casey
  • Marcel Fortuna versus Tim Caron
  • Ras Hylton versus Domingo Barros.
  • Tim Flores versus Bramdon Neiford
  • Matt Denning versus Sage Philippe.

 The preliminary card includes;

  • Maxwell Lombardo versus Hassan Graham.
  • Martin Thompson versus Daniel Keepers.
  • Paul Hotchkiss versus Mike Aiello.
  • Chih-Ki Li versus Arnoldo Lopez.
  • Logan Bond versus Cordero Crenshaw.
  • Cole Brackett versus Tristan Turano.
  • Anthony Rivera versus Pastor Angel Acevedo. 

 AMMO Fight League is having its send Top Level Pro Grappling event in South Windsor at Nomads Adventure Quest on September 18. Bill Vigil, who is president of the organization, has released the evening’s card.

The no-gi matchups, with all techniques allowed, will include;

  • John McAndrews versus Jon Manley.
  • John Vena versus John Douma.
  • Kia GGholampour versus Robert Rigilano.
  • Anh Nguyen versus Katie Milreed.
  • Ryan Fersuson versus Anthony Malaguti.
  • Leon Davis versus Jeff Roberts.
  • Lauren McAdam versus Gianna Pannese.
  • John Markette versus Ryan Gilligan.
  • Robert Antidormi versus Daniel Gilliam.
  • Kristina Katsikis versus Jordan Novak.
  • Alexander Warren versus Tyrime Dasilva.
  • Kobie Mina versus Tim Roberts.
  • Dion Rubio versus Dave Mullen.
  • Dillon Zaro versus Paul Vine.
  • Tony Gatto Jake Cibrilla.
  • Thomas Wynosky versus Alex Rykowski.
  • Mark Ferriola versus Terrell Samuels.
  • Alex Vojtex versus Kyle Pavo.
  • James Vafiades versus Glenn Pierce.

The gi matchups, which will be organized by IDJFF belt ranks, will include;

  • Bruno Dias versus Peter Jeffrey under black belt rules.
  • Elvis Serrano versus Dakota Harris under black belt rules.
  • Erika Valentine versus Chelsea Fone under blue belt rules.
  • Luis Perez versus Gil Pinheiro under brown belt rules.
  • Ysa Leblanc versus Sharlene Sargent under purple belt rules.
  • Christopher Ramos versus Justin Thorne under blue belt rules.
  • Lizandra Rodriguez versus Gabriella Mignone under blue belt rules.
  • Audra Murzycki versus Keely Byron under white belt rules.

Children’s matchups include three no-gi and one gi bouts. Aaron Obrien and Malakai Risotti will compete with gis on under green belt rules. The other matches, all under grey belt rules with no lower body techniques, will include;

  • Payton Hinkle versus Cecillia Verilli.
  • Cole Maver versus Izzy Hinkle.
  • Ryan Hinkle versus Robert Wingert.
